Viking Tours of Newport offers sightseeing tours of the area aboard quaint, old-fashioned, red-and-black trolleys. Guests can choose from the basic Scenic Overview Tour, showcasing the city's lovely historic buildings and homes, or upgrade to one of the Grand Mansion Tours, which also include admission to a few of the town's many spectacular gilded age mansions, such as Rosecliff or the Breakers. The tours depart from the Newport Visitor Center, located near the downtown waterfront and beside Cardines Field.
