Description:
Built in the 1690s, the Wanton-Lyman-Hazard House is Newport's oldest extant residence. Added to over the centuries by a diverse array of owners, it combines the simple design schemes of a strong Quaker influence with the fine paneling and handsome moldings associated with Newport's emerging upper class in the 1800s. The house lies in historic downtown, just east of Cardines Field.
